I'm an associate professor in Child and Adolescent Development and chair of Undergraduate Studies in Education at Sacramento State. After earning my PhD from UC Davis, I've dedicated my career to understanding how children experience the legal system, particularly focusing on forensic interviewing techniques and supporting youth in foster care.
Away from campus, I find joy in gardening, reading, and creating short videos for social media.
I am a PhD student in the sociology department at UC Davis. My research interests lie everywhere from psychology to education and gender equity to computational social sciences. I believe strongly in the power of interdisciplinary collaboration and love working in teams. My passion in research lies in studying gender inequity in academia and finding biases where you may not expect to find them.
I spend my free time building Lego with my daughter, reading nerdy fantasy books by Brandon Sanderson (and a few others), and playing board games with my husband and friends.
