About Us

I'm a professor in Child and Adolescent Development and chair of Undergraduate Studies in Education at Sacramento State. After earning my PhD from UC Davis, I've dedicated my career to understanding how children experience the legal system, particularly focusing on forensic interviewing techniques and supporting youth in foster care. 

Away from campus, I find joy in gardening, reading, and creating short videos for social media.

I am a PhD candidate in the sociology department at UC Davis. My research interests lie everywhere from psychology to education and gender equity to computational social sciences. My passion in research lies in studying gender inequity in academia and finding biases in unexpected places.

In my free time I build Lego with my daughter, read nerdy fantasy books by Brandon Sanderson, and play board games with my family and friends.
